AVSAR
Avşar Mineral Water springs from a pristine source located 3 km from the center of İscehisar, along the Afyonkarahisar–Ankara route. The earliest documentation of its waters dates to 1940, when Prof. Dr. S. Calvi noted their exceptional qualities, later confirmed by Dr. M. Sadettin Aygen’s description of the spring bubbling at a 0.13 l/s flow from a stone-surrounded pool.
Historically valued for both drinking and geothermal healing, the springs served civilizations such as the Phrygians and the Ancient Greeks, who built Asklepieion-style spa caves around the source. Today, under the ownership of Şuayp Demirel Madensuyu A.Ş., modern factory operations began in 2015 to serve both domestic and international consumers.
In a commitment to sustainability, Avşar now powers its operations via a solar energy system capable of delivering the company’s entire annual consumption (~3,000,000 kWh), reducing CO₂ emissions by 96% (≈1,230 tons) and preserving 184 trees annually.
Following a major 2021 expansion, the factory now occupies 330,000 m² (with 18,000 m² enclosed), and produces up to 100,000 bottles per hour under advanced hygiene standards. The company has operated as Şuayp Demirel Madensuyu A.Ş. since 2024
