EKER
The journey of Eker Dairy Products, one of Turkey's most popular flavor brands, began in 1977 with Altan Eker's attempt to supply buttermilk to automotive companies in Bursa. Later, in 1981, production started in the high-capacity factory built in "Eker Farm" and equipped with the new technologies of the period. Izmir Regional Directorate, opened in 1983, was a critical step towards becoming a national brand. With the Istanbul Regional Directorate established in 1987, Eker began to establish a presence in this geography where competition is more intense. After Altan Eker's sudden death in 1996, his children Ahmet Eker and Nevra Eker came under Eker's management as the second generation. Eker, which took a strong step in the buttermilk category, its most ambitious product, by offering the first liter family-sized buttermilk for retail sale in 1997, started to expand its distribution area by establishing Regional Directorates in Ankara in 1997, and in Eskişehir, Adana, Antalya and Gebze in the following years.
DURU
Since 1935, Duru Bulgur has been offering high quality, tasty and healthy bulgur. Duru Bulgur has a delicious, natural flavour that is the result of using only high quality wheat and our traditional stone milling process. Duru Bulgur is easy to cook and can be ready in 15 minutes. This versatile product can be used to make a variety of recipes from favourites such as Tabouleeh to delicious summer and winter meals and side dishes. Duru Bulgur is rich in fibre and has a low glycemic index.
MARMARABIRLIK
MARMARABİRLİK, that is first come back when it is daisOLIVE, is located in an arch surrounded by the İznik Lakeon the east and Mürefte in Thracian on the west, extends along the south costs of Marmara Sea, from where it takes its name. Marmarabirlik, with the aim of cultivating and marketing the most quality edible olives of the world in better conditions, is an association of Agricultural Sales Cooperatives established in 1954 by the region olive cultivators within a mutual assistance and cooperation. Marmarabirlik, like the other agricultural sales cooperatives and associations in the country, has been established in accordance with the 02/11/1935 dated and 2834 numbered legal provisions related to “Agricultural Sales Cooperatives and Associations” and with the main agreement prepared based on these provisions. Some legal amendments are realized during the time for having more active, productive, sustainable and autonomous structure and for a restructuring, and the main agreement prepared based on the 4572 numbered legal provisions about the “Agricultural Sales Cooperatives and Associations” published in 06/12/2000 date and 24270 numbered Official Gazette, became applicable with the approval of plenary committee held on 02/06/2001. With this main agreement, the name of Marmarabirlik is changed as “S.S. Marmara Zeytin Tarım Satış Kooperatifleri Birliği” by adding limited liability according to its autonomous and private structure. Marmarabirlik is the world’s biggest olive association that is established Gemlik, Mudanya and Erdek Cooperatives coming together at the beginning and then having a global brand status by developing within the time.
CICEK
Çiçek Salamura San. Tic. A. Ş. started production in Izmir in 1988. It has increased its brand value by developing itself over time, making continuous investments, increasing its production capacity, turning to new markets besides its existing customer portfolio, becoming a sought-after brand in the domestic and international markets without compromising its product and service quality. It applies ISO 22000 Quality Management System and HACCP (Hygiene Rules) in its production. It cultivates its vegetables under the supervision of agricultural engineers from seeds it itself procures by having them cultivated in the fertile lands in different regions of Turkey depending on the type of vegetable. Thus, it takes precautions for and minimizes all risks harmful to human health that may occur in all processes starting from product procurement to production and shipment stages. With this meticulousness, it has been the first in the sector to have the Halal Food Certificate. Again, it has been the first in the sector to be awarded “Superior Taste Award” by the International Taste & Quality Institute and certified accordingly.
